Mental Development

• Babble regularly, using rhythms and inflections
• Display curiosity about new things and sensations

Visual Development

• Respond to a full range of colours and shades
• Be able to follow faster movements with their eyes
• See nearby objects and reach for them

Growth

• Weigh about 6.4 kg if she’s a girl or about 7.0 kg if he’s a boy
• Be about 62.1 cm tall if she’s a girl or about 63.9 cm tall if he’s a boy

Motor Development

• Be able to hold up their head and chest while using their elbows for support
• Be able to bring their thumbs and small objects to their mouth
• Be able to hold their head steady while being pulled to a sitting position
• Start to roll over from stomach to back

Social and Emotional Development

• Start to show dislikes by turning away from unwelcome things
• Have a variety of facial expressions to show their feelings
